Aragonite is a calcium carbonate that forms in orthorhombic crystals. It is polymorphous which means that it has the same chemical formula as calcite but a different crystal structure. It is believed to be a good Earth healer; helps create a deeper connection with the earth by grounding to the earth-star chakra.

Aragonite is also known to be a calming stone believed to help in times of stress by reducing anger and enhancing patience.
